1. Purpose and Application

These Terms govern the conditions of use and operating principles for services provided by JARANG, including creating posts, uploading images, and reacting with likes or dislikes. By using the service or agreeing to these Terms during sign-up, you are considered to have agreed to them.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

• JARANG accounts are created through Google or Kakao OAuth login.
• Users must choose a nickname that does not impersonate another person.
• Because JARANG does not provide a process for verifying consent from a legal guardian, children under the age of 14 may not register for or use the service.
• Users are responsible for keeping their login sessions and devices used to access their accounts secure.

3. Use of the Service

Users must follow the posting limits for each category and the usage rules displayed in the service. Users may not post content that disrupts the stable operation of the service; infringes another person's privacy, rights, or reputation; or is unlawful or harmful.

4. Posts and Images

• As a general rule, rights in posts and images remain with the user who created them.
• Users permit JARANG to store, display, and transmit that content to the extent necessary to provide the service.
• Public posts may display the user's nickname, post text, images, and reaction counts to other users.
• Images are stored in Supabase Storage used by JARANG.

5. Post Moderation and Soft Deletion

To protect the community, a post may be automatically soft-deleted after accumulating 100 dislikes. A soft-deleted post is no longer visible in the public feed or post detail page, but internal records may be retained for a period of time for service operations and dispute handling. Content confirmed to violate the law or infringe another person's rights may be restricted regardless of its reaction count.

6. Account and Data Deletion Requests

Users who want their account or related data deleted may submit a request through the contact email address. After verifying the user's identity, JARANG will process the deletion request to the extent that retention is not required by law or justified by legitimate operational needs. More detailed procedures may be provided separately once the relevant service features are available.

7. Changes to and Suspension of the Service

JARANG may change features or temporarily suspend the service for improvements, maintenance, infrastructure failures, or other unavoidable operational reasons. Important changes will be communicated through an appropriate method within the service.

8. Liability and Changes to These Terms

To the extent permitted by applicable law, JARANG may limit its liability for content created by users or conduct between users. If these Terms change, JARANG will publish the effective date and details of the changes in the service. Material changes that disadvantage users will be announced within a reasonable period before they take effect.
